Linkages Between Climate Policies and Multiple Sustainable Development Goals Posters

Session Description:
Climate policy has important linkages with other sustainable development goals, such as human health, clean water, affordable energy, etc. For instance, reducing fossil energy to address climate change can bring substantial air quality and health co-benefits, while the implications on water use will depend on the actual choice of low-carbon technologies. In addition, without additional support for energy access, climate policies could make fossil energy more expensive and create additional hurdles for poor households to switch to modern fuels.

This session aims to bring together researchers from various scientific disciplines to generate policy-relevant insights for real-world decision-making. We welcome contributions on topics including but not limited to: 1) integrated assessment modeling to study the interactions between carbon mitigation and other sustainability challenges; 2) co-benefits of climate policies on local environmental goals, e.g. air quality, water, etc.; 3) how practitioners view multiple objectives and how to facilitate integrated policymaking.
