Evolving Aspects of Agricultural Systems Posters

Session Description:
Deep knowledge at multiple scales about agricultural systems is needed by practitioners, governments, and private sector to address risk, build resiliency, and understand change. Remote sensing, geospatial and data science, volunteered geographic data/crowdsourcing, and modeling frameworks help derive accurate, geospatially-driven assessments of agricultural processes and systems on crop-, pasture-, rangelands, and urban agriculture. This session features research methods, tools, and applications in monitoring, mapping, and quantifying change in agricultural systems. Topics include sustainability, climate, resilience, risk reduction practices, index insurance and economic modeling, grower adaptation and mitigation efforts, agroecology, conservation, regenerative and climate-smart agriculture, land use/land cover change, phenology, crop diversification, rotation and intensification, urban farming, food security, food and land sovereignty and justice, and monitoring agricultural area, productivity, and yield.
