Regional to Local Energy–Water Dynamics in a Changing and Uncertain Future Posters

Session Description:
Water and energy systems face considerable challenges, including vulnerabilities to a changing climate, new demand paradigms and rapidly changing technologies in the context of an aging infrastructure. A deep understanding of complex interactions across a range of scales is needed to assess and improve multi sectoral resilience. New analyses and modeling schemes must address the co-evolving nature of these interconnected systems in order to better understand the multi sectoral opportunities and challenges associated with environmental and socio-economical changes.  We invite contributions on multi sectoral numerical experiments, case studies, system analyses, data analytics providing insights on:

- Advances and evaluation of multi-scale coupling approaches with associated cascading uncertainties

- Multi sectoral resilience metrics and stress scenarios

- Dataset development in support of model couplings; climate driven input such as load and hydropower projections; water uses and water management database;

- Integration of social and policy dynamics with physical and engineering models
