Session Description:
This session will present 12 talks from geoscientists who have worked in policy at the Federal, state and/or local government level. They will discuss their experiences, ways to get involved in policy and approaches to successfully navigate the intersection of science and policy. There are many opportunities for geoscience students and professionals to pursue policy interests through internships, fellowships, and careers in Washington, DC and elsewhere. If you are interested in the ways in which science can inform and relate to policy plus the possible roles for geoscientists in policy, please join us.
