GC11I:
Emerging Trends in Environmental Modeling and Its Impact on Agricultural Production Systems and Farming Decisions Posters

Submit an Abstract to this Session

Session ID#: 51148

Session Description:
The ability to model worldwide agricultural production systems requires proper understanding of the environments being used.  The abundance of the environmental datasets in the world is increasing at a rapid pace as well as the access to computation capabilities.  Hence we need  advanced statistical and mathematical models to work at the scale of the data being generated. This session aims to discuss on recent advances on scalable statistical and machine learning models that use environmental data to model agricultural processes and impact farming decisions globally (precision and sustainable agriculture). We also invite research focusing on global environmental data strategies to better support the future of environmental analytics across the world, as well as the state-of-the art of analytic platforms hosting the automatic execution of these models globally.
