Session Description:
Reproducible science covers three broad areas: 1) field experiment for measurement data reproducibility, 2) model reproducibility, can other researchers duplicate model outputs and 3) conclusion reproducibility, can one reach similar conclusion by following post-processing, statistical analyses and documentation. This session will address the benefits, costs, methods, and applications of reproducible science in cryosphere and hydrology to advance the fields of science, inform water management decisions, and potential public impacts. Topics can include techniques to address reproducibility in these three broad areas, current software technologies or cyberinfrastructure that will aid in reproducible science for sharing information, standardization of policies for publication of code and data, and examples or applications of reproducible science in water resources that provide solutions to the broader community.
