Session Description:
NASA's Multi-angle Imaging SpectroRadiometer (MISR) has been observing Earth since 2000. MISR products concerning radiance, aerosols, clouds, winds, and land surface are available from the ASDC DAAC, and provide 18+ years of quantities including aerosol amount, size, and shape, and geometrically derived cloud, smoke, and volcanic ash plume heights, with global coverage ~once per week. Workshop attendees will participate in guided tutorials to obtain and use MISR's per-orbit cloud/wind and aerosol products and the MISR Plume Height data. These products have recently been upgraded in content, resolution, and/or format. This workshop is relevant for atmospheric scientists; air pollution, volcano, and fire science researchers; and others interested in using MISR data products for the first time or for experienced users interested in product upgrades and improvements.
