WS32:
Sensor Fusion and Analysis Ready Data with the Planet Platform

Submit an Abstract to this Session

Session ID#: 54859

Session Description:
In this workshop, we will access satellite imagery, process and prepare it for analysis, and link the resulting Analysis Ready Data to engines, platforms, and toolkits. With access to Planet’s entire Dove (cubesat) data archive, and other sources of open and free data, including Landsat and Sentinel-2 imagery, users will train on two repeatable methodologies for sensor fusion: the first based on operations in Google Earth Engine; and the second based on open-source tools and libraries in the Python ecosystem. The focus of this workshop will be on demonstrating cloud-native workflows for delivering and analyzing high volumes of satellite imagery, though we will also provide examples of using local environments for analysis.
