Session Description:
Presented by Karl Benedict, Amber Budden, Matt Jones; DataONE
Funded initially as a DataNet Project, DataONE is building an engaged global community in support of infrastructure and training around data sharing and reproducible research. In this session we will share an overview of DataONE progress to date, encourage participation in a discussion about current needs for better discovery and preservation of data, and explore mechanisms for increased community contribution to the future direction of DataONE. We will focus on challenges and opportunities in the contemporary data management and discovery landscape, and solicit feedback on areas of greatest need and opportunity.
