Melt and Fluid Inclusions: Windows Into the Role of Fluids in the Evolution of the Earth and Planetary Systems II Posters

Session Description:
Melt (MI) and fluid inclusion (FI) studies provide direct evidence for the participation of fluids, and the PTX evolution, associated with a vast range of geological processes. MI and FI are found in samples that originate from shallow to deep crustal levels and into the mantle, and include a wide range in thermal regimes and chemical systems. This session invites contributions from those using MI and/or FI to constrain the physical and chemical evolution of geologic systems, including experimental, theoretical and natural studies of samples representing metamorphic and magmatic systems (both plutonic and volcanic), structural processes, ore-forming environments, low- temperature regimes and related processes (e.g., geobiology), and extraterrestrial environments (meteorites). Both the experienced and novice applying FI and/or MI in their research in these fields are encouraged to participate.
