H12A:
Geothermal Energy

Submit an Abstract to this Session

Session ID#: 6385

Session Description:
Since the first geothermal energy established in Italy 100 years ago, there have been several developments. However, with the increased thrust for renewable energy development, geothermal thermal energy has become a very important elementĀ for space heating. Despite the signficant developments in the last couple of decades in terms of design and development, there are several challgenges left behind. The session invites presentations on the applications of ground source heating systems. They may include theoretical development, field and laboratory investigations, desgin methodologies, modeling and simulation, optimization, and economic analysis. They presentations may include the needs of policy development in different jurisdictions.
