Abstract:
NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) is the Nation’s leading authority for environmental data and provides access to one of the most significant archives on Earth for comprehensive ocean, coastal, climate, and geophysical data sets. Two of NCEI’s most widely-used products are the World Ocean Database and World Ocean Atlas, which present ocean profile data in user-friendly and quality-controlled formats. This poster presents examples of novel uses of these products, which add value to the data and inform how we present this information in the future.
