Abstract:
The Global Ensemble Wave Prediction System being developed at Environment and Climate Change Canada is anticipated to become operational in the latter part of 2020. The system under development has a horizontal resolution of ~39 km and uses a yin-yang grid. Verification of the global ensemble system, over a time frame of several months, to in-situ wave buoys and satellite observations is presented along with a comparison to other global wave ensembles.
