Abstract:
GEO AquaWatch Water Quality Initiative has several exciting projects advancing in 2020 promoting the use of scalable remote sensing and in situ water quality data. Our goal is to bridge the information gap between global decision-makers and the water quality earth observation data providers. Our five working groups tackle user needs, general education, and coordinating data, products, and information that decision-makers need to benefit society. There is room in GEO AquaWatch for everyone interested in volunteering to help! 2020 projects include building a water quality information service and enhancing our online Knowledge Hub where the water quality community can find available best practices and resources. Compiling available training resources and online data product brochures will augment our existing data product inventory. GEO AquaWatch is a global initiative seeking funding for water quality-related projects available only to our active members. Now is your chance to get involved in GEO AquaWatch Working Groups advancing science-based information about global water quality issues. Find out more at www.geoaquawatch.org.
