Abstract:
This work is dedicated to the investigation of ozone and nitrogen dioxide variability over the eastern Antarctica for the period from 25.01.2014 to 28.02.2014. The measurements have been made using the all-weather MAX-DOAS instrument. The aim of this work is to obtain the information about height distribution of ozone and nitrogen dioxide in pure Antarctic atmosphere using the MAX-DOAS instrument. It was found, that the presence of nitrogen dioxide in the upper atmosphere restrains the ozone generation and after reducing nitrogen dioxide concentrations ozone layer rises above and its concentration increases. Model simulations have been performed to retrieve the concentrations profile main parameters.
