Abstract:
The noise characteristics in the observed signals includes not only the ambient noise but also the industrial signals. The noise very long was regarded as unusable. Now the ambient noise wavefield is recovered to extract useful information about the Earth’s structure. The noise sources recorded across a number of regularly spaced stations are recognized by their frequency content. In this study a sparse stations layout is tested. The received cross-correlograms from broadband seismic stations across Poland are presented for determining dispersion characteristics.
