A11B:
Aerosol Property Affected by Biomass Burning

Session ID#: 8443

Session Description:
Biomass burning emits a considerable amount of carbonaceous materials and inorganic salts and alters atmospheric components and aerosol property. To better understand the influence of biomass burning on aerosol, including its chemical compositions, size distributions, and optical properties, it is necessary to know the resources of biomass burning from any region worldwide, monitoring, the evolution of pollutants, hygroscopicity, heterogeneous reaction, secondary aerosol formation, short-term climate impact by filed observation, laboratory simulation and modeling. This session invites advanced investigations, new methods, as well as monitoring techniques to address all aspects of biomass burning and its impact on air quality, human health, dry or wet deposition, transport, and ecosystem.
