ED53A:
Assessment and Research in Online and Virtual Science Learning Environments Posters

Session ID#: 8590

Session Description:
Science teaching in online and virtual learning environments has proliferated, largely in the absence of hypothesis-driven, controlled studies of the effectiveness of the modality and its effects on student learning. However, learning platforms and related technologies now offer access to copious real-time analytical data on knowledge and behaviors that can enable assessment and research studies involving large and diverse student populations.  This session is intended to feature current studies of teaching and learning effectiveness and student cognition in technologically mediated environments.
