Abstract:
We use the Applied Physics Lab Ionospheric Data Assimilation Four Dimensional (IDA4D) model to analyze ionospheric response to a solar storm over the period of 17-18 March, 2015. We injest ion density data from the integrated Miniturized Electrostatic Analyzer (iMESA) flying on the STPSat-3 satellite over the same time period and compare results of the model with an without the in-situ measurements.
