Session Description:
Education, outreach, and communication activities are opportunities to connect scientists and engineers directly to students, teachers, informal educators, program facilitators, and the public. Engaging these subject matter experts in partnerships involving these diverse audiences has many direct benefits include personalizing scientific discoveries and engaging a new generation of STEM professionals. This session is a venue where scientists and engineers can share tools, resources and lessons learned about sharing their work in education, outreach, and public engagement contexts and where education, outreach and communcation professionals can share best practices to help improve the satisfaction of these activities for scientists, engineers, and audience members. Scientists, engineers and education, outreach, and communication professionals who have evaluation data or participant feedback from their activities will be invited to share their evaluation tools and results.
