TEMBA, SAMBA and OSEMBE, the energy model bases for Africa, South America and EU-28 respectively. Included are individual open models of each country woven together to account for trade. We discuss key results and continental initiatives currently taking place to support teaching and capacity building for open source energy modelling and planning.
