Sensor Networks in Hydrology II Posters

Session Description:
In the past decade, the use of field-based sensors in hydrology and water resources management has increased rapidly. Networks of such sensors, and transmission of their data, have been aided by advances in ICT and wireless technologies emerging from the Internet of Things, as well as the global increase in cellphone coverage. This session will interrogate how these technologies can be leveraged to advance hydrological data collection, ranging from new sensing technologies to exploiting specific characteristics of sensor networks such as the use of large numbers of sensors, and synchronicity in measurements. We also welcome showcases related to concrete applications in areas such as hazard early warning systems, automated irrigation, sanitation distribution systems, amongst others. We call for papers on all aspects of sensor networks, including integration of sensor data in models, new developments in networking, and case studies of sensor networks in practice.
