Session Description:
Many students in introductory geophysics classes get their first hands-on experience in data acquisition or data processing using near-surface geophysical methods (e.g. resistivity, electromagnetic, shallow seismic, gravity, and magnetic methods) . We encourage submissions describing successful classroom activities, lab exercises, and field experiments for teaching geophysics based on near-surface methods. We also encourage discussion of difficulties encountered. Effective activities that integrate multiple methods are of particular interest.
