Session Description:
The integration and inversion of hydrological and geophysical measurements have proven to improve the predictive accuracy of hydrologic models, aid in the uncertainty assessment of hydrologic parameters, and enhance the monitoring and understanding of hydrologic processes. This session solicits research that incorporates hydrological and geophysical measurements to improve the characterization and monitoring of hydrologic parameters and processes. Sought topics include, but are not limited to: innovative coupled or joint inversion strategies; novel strategies to incorporate hydrologic process information into geophysical inverse procedures; application of coupled hydrogeophysical modeling; data errors and uncertainty quantification methods; hydrogeophysical experimental design; methods for evaluation of the worth of hydrogeophysical data.
