On the Use of 3-D Printing Technology for Investigation of Subsurface Processes in Natural Porous Media I Posters

Session Description:
3D printing, or additive manufacturing, is a growing manufacturing method for creating custom built physical models quickly and cheaply. In geosciences, 3D printing can be used to bridge the gap between physical and digital rock models, allow for generation of identical multiple realization of the same porosity model, and incremental modification of a natural manner. In this session, we will welcome work that treat of advances in manufacturing porosity models “closer to reality” as well as study that uses the power of 3D printing to investigate hydro-mechanical properties in porous media.
