Coastal Geomorphology and Morphodynamics: Observations and Modeling at the Coastal Margin III

Session Description:
Coastal landscapes are among the most dynamic on Earth and their morphodynamics are controlled by interacting littoral, atmospheric, and terrestrial processes that span a wide range of spatial and temporal scales.  Accordingly, research in the coastal zone is diverse and ranges from studies of coastal evolution over the Quaternary to event-based sediment transport processes. The 2018 Coastal Geomorphology and Morphodynamics session welcomes contributions based upon field observations, the application and development of models, investigations of sedimentary deposits, physical experiments, and interdisciplinary studies that link coastal geomorphology with biology, ecology, and the social sciences. The session will include studies from a wide range of coastal settings including beaches, coastal dunes, barrier systems, rocky coasts, deltas, marshes, estuaries, and lagoons.
