Session Description:
This session explores recent developments in geoarchaeology, the science bridging geosciences and archaeology. Geoarchaeology is a dynamic and innovative field that applies geoscientific concepts, tools and methods to archaeological research questions. Contributions from sedimentology, geochronology, geochemistry, geology, geography and geophysics at variable time and spatial scales are invited. New applications and promising research avenues in geoarchaeology are welcome.

Session Description - en français: Cette session explore les récentes avancées en géoarchéologie, la science qui fait le pont entre les géosciences et l’archéologie. La géoarchéologie innove en appliquant les concepts, techniques et méthodes des géosciences au service de la recherche archéologique. Les études archéologiques alliant sédimentologie, géochronologie, géochimie, géologie, géographie et/ou géophysique à toutes les échelles de temps et d’espace sont invitées. Les nouvelles applications et avenues de recherche en géoarchéologie sont les bienvenues.
