Abstract:
Homogeneity test was performed on daily rainfall series of six meteorological stations in Cameroun: Yaounde(1951-2000), Bertoua(1961-2000), Douala (1961-2000), Ebolowa (1961-2000), Garoua (1960-2000), Dschang (1961-2000). Four methods namely Standard Normal Homogeneity test (SNHT), Buishand range test, Pettitt test and Von Neumann ratio tests was chosen to detect the inhomogeneity of the daily rainfall with at most 10% missing values. to evaluate the performance of the methods used, three differents variables were used, which are annual maximum, annual median and annual mean.when annual median were used as testing variable, 33:33% of station are homogenous. Otherwise when annual mean were used, only 16,66% of station are homogenous. In the otherhand 33:33% of station are homogenous when annual maximum are used as testing variable
