NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) Town Hall: Revealing the Past, Interpreting the Present, and Informing the Future

Session ID#: 11117

Session Description:
This Town Hall presentation will update the oceanographic data community on the merging of NOAA's environmental data centers into the newly formed National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI). NCEI is the Nation's leading authority for environmental information, hosting comprehensive archives of oceanographic, atmospheric, geophysical, and coastal data. We will discuss how we are meeting users' needs under the new structure, as well as meeting the challenges to handle complex, ever-increasing data volumes that span the ocean depths up to the surface of the sun.
