Reflections on 40 Years of the DISCO Symposia

Session ID#: 11141

Session Description:
The 25th DISCO (Dissertations Symposium in Chemical Oceanography) meeting in 2016 will mark almost 40 years since the symposia was established, a full career for many in the field.  Thus it seems a good time to reflect on the historical achievements in chemical oceanography over this timeframe and the influence of the meeting on the participants careers.  All DISCO alumni are invited to an OPEN-MICROPHONE Town Hall to discuss these issues.  We will have a no-host bar, and will request a contribution at the door to help cover food costs.  Please email Karen Selph, selph@hawaii.edu, if you plan to attend.
