The European Union-Canada-United States of America Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance: Implementing the Galway Statement—Progress, Next Steps, and Opportunities for Collaboration

The Galway Statement on Atlantic Ocean Cooperation Launching a European Union-Canada-United States of America Research Alliance was signed in Galway, Ireland in May 2013. The cooperation is intended to increase our knowledge of the Atlantic Ocean and its dynamic systems - including interlinks with the portion of the Arctic region that borders the Atlantic - by aligning our ocean observation efforts to improve ocean health and stewardship and promote the sustainable management of its resources. This Town Hall will provide an overview of progress on the implementation of the Galway Statement as well as opportunities for collaboration.
