Update and Status of the Arctic-COLORS (Arctic-COastal Land Ocean interactions) NASA Field Campaign Scoping Study

Session ID#: 11253

Session Description:
Arctic-COLORS is a candidate NASA OBB field campaign program. Using an integrative, interdisciplinary approach that combines detailed process studies, field surveys, advanced modeling tools, and enhanced remote-sensing retrievals from various platforms (ship-based, airborne, and space-based), Arctic-COLORS aims to study the coastal Arctic as an integrated land-ocean-atmosphere-biosphere system, as is required to determine present and future impacts of terrigenous, atmospheric and oceanic fluxes on coastal ecology, biogeochemistry and ecosystem services in the context of environmental (short-term) and climate (long-term) changes.  An update on the status of the scoping study will be presented with Q&A and community input to follow.
