Gases as Tracers of Ocean Biogeochemical and Physical Processes

Session Description:
This session seeks to bring together the gas tracer community to exchange knowledge regarding new observations, applications, and modeling of dissolved and atmospheric gases as tracers for understanding oceanic biogeochemical and physical processes. We welcome all contributions on using gas measurements to advance knowledge of the ocean, including such topics as biological productivity rates, air-sea gas exchange, distributions of natural and anthropogenic gases and their isotopes in the ocean, trends in dissolved gas levels, ocean ventilation rates, atmospheric measurements as they relate to ocean processes, and deliberate tracer release experiments. Presentations on observations, method development, modeling, and data synthesis and interpretation are all encouraged.
