Discovering and Utilizing Data Through Tools and Services at PO.DAAC
Session ID#: 31569
Session Description:
The Physical Oceanography Distributed Active Archive Center (PO.DAAC) is NASA’s data center for physical oceanographic data, which includes winds, ocean surface topography, salinity, sea surface temperature, gravity, ocean circulation and more. This town hall will provide an overview of PO.DAAC’s data holdings and demonstrations of new and improved tools and services offered to discover, visualize, subset and obtain those data. These tools and services are designed to support a diverse range of users, from researchers that need to co-locate satellite data to their in situ measurements, to data managers who need to supplement their data holdings, to climate modelers who require long time series. New users will find this a good introduction to PO.DAAC and regular users will be updated on the latest developments at PO.DAAC.
