Interdisciplinary Presentations Workshop
Interdisciplinary Presentations Workshop
Session ID#: 36356
Session Description:
If you want to reach and appeal to a broader interdisciplinary audience, rather than just a few peers, you need to make presentations more engaging and appealing to those outside your specialty.
Led by Brian Palermo, actor and improv instructor (e.g., The Social Network, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the Groundlings Theatre, Los Angeles). Similar workshops have been conducted with help from Palermo (2013, 2015, 2016, 2017). A few presentations will be attended on day one of the meeting; at the workshop, they will be used as examples how to make improvements to transform a presentation into one memorable and compelling to broad interdisciplinary audiences. Organized by Jonathan Sharp (University of Delaware) and Adrienne Sponberg (ASLO).
Partially supported by US NSF Ocean Sciences Division.
