AGU Data Fair: Data Capacity Building – Equipping the Researcher with Tools that add and maintain the value of data throughout the Research Data Lifecycle.

Session ID#: 36411

Session Description:
Researchers commonly use multiple platforms and tools to acquire, create, manage, transform, and analyze data.  During the months and years of research, the information about that data when it was acquired or created tends to be lost or misplaced making it hard to populate necessary metadata information when data is submitted for preservation. The panel will discuss the challenges the researcher faces and how methods for managing data are currently available or are expected in the future that will help the researcher build value and capacity in the research data lifecycle.
