Cascadia Margin methane seep and hydrate workshop
Cascadia Margin methane seep and hydrate workshop
Session ID#: 36429
Session Description:
There has been a rapid progression in the discovery of methane seeps and hydrate systems, along with a new appreciation for the ubiquitous nature of hydrate and methane fueled ecosystems at both active and passive continental margins. In this methane seep and hydrate workshop we seek to discuss recent and prospective field studies at the Cascadia Margin methane seep and hydrate systems in the Eastern Pacific. Of particular interest for this workshop will be discussions of current and proposed field programs involving, for example, temporal studies, multidisciplinary process studies, and hazard analyzes. This workshop (approx. 2 hours) is an addition to session BN016 Natural Hydrate Systems and Methane Seeps.
