Together We Can Save Our Planet – From Observations to Actions

Session ID#: 36537

Session Description:
Hurricane and wildfires are immediate needs.  If we don’t focus our science intellectual energies on reversing human induced climate change we are "rearranging the chairs on the deck of the Titanic”.  Scientists are beholden to our funding sources.   TOS can make a difference here.

AGU, ASLO and TOS could set up a science collaboration similar to what crisis cleanup has done numerous times for disaster relief.

see www.crisiscleanup.org.  From their webpage: “Disaster relief without collaboration is like trying to win a soccer game with boxes on our heads”.

Let’s take off the boxes and collaborate.
