ME24A:
Benthic Meiofauna Structure, Pattern, and Function in Ocean Basins Poster Lightning

Session ID#: 38891

Session Description:
Benthic meiofauna are keyplayers in ecosystem processes throughout ocean basins represented by shelf to deep sea ecosystems. Their abundance and community structure have implications in several biogeochemical processes. In this topical session, submissions are solicited in the area of benthic meiofauna community structure, their biogeography across ocean basins as well studies investigating specific role of benthic meiofauna in marine ecosystems including biogeochemical cycling. In particular, submissions are welcome in the emerging areas of benthic meiofauna research that incorporates new tools and techniques including next generation sequencing.
