Session ID#: 39019

Session Description:
Spirit Of 77
500 NE Martin Luther King Blvd

This Pecha Kucha-style session seeks to explore the vast art-science interface in ocean sciences by giving scientists and artists alike a platform upon which to inspire through the creative communication of varied ideas relating to a ‘fluid ocean’. Pecha Kucha is a presentation style in which 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each (6 min., 40 sec. in total), a format which keeps presentations concise and fast-paced and encourages creative expression of the subject matter. This event will take place in a social setting and in coordination with other Art-Science interface initiatives at the 2018 Ocean Sciences Meeting. Speakers include a range of OSM attendees and local artists as well as students, researchers, and educators.
