Sharing Science with Any Audience: Workshop
Sharing Science with Any Audience: Workshop
Session ID#: 39815
Session Description:
When scientists share their work and its value with wider audiences--like journalists, policy makers, and members of the public--science enters into the local dialogue, and scientists become accessible resources in their communities.
At this interactive workshop, you will learn how to communicate science in a relevant, engaging, and memorable way. You will learn how to identify the right audience for you to reach out to, how to create an effective message about your research/work, and how to tailor your presentation for a specific audience. You will also learn critical listening skills, have the chance to practice public speaking, and receive feedback from communications experts and your peers.
This workshop is designed for scientists who want to learn how to more effectively communicate their research/work.
