Abstract:
Due to climate change and human behavior, innovative Strategies for Mitigating Coastal Challenges to Prevent Marine Pollution are required. The information and communication technologies are playing a crucial role in marine litter education ,marine pollution and marine waste management programs in Developing countries. Application communication technology and information Science is found suitable in educating the local population along coastal and marine regions in developing countries. The Computer programs and training for education and literacy for different actors in Marine waste management system such as students, youths, women, fishermen , employees of Local Governments, Marine industry laborers and workers along the marine regions. This needs participation of national as well as international stakeholders. The global policy formulation and implementation plays an important role if application of computer tools for marine education. This presentation signifies that integrated Computer tools and ocean observation tools are important for marine litter education and management in developing countries. The presentation focuses on role of computer education and computer literacy for marine litter and marine waste management by identifying the marine litter and marine waste regions and its scientific and sustainable disposal. This presentation suggest innovative strategies for local capacity capacity building through effective computer application for marine litter and marine waste management policy formulation, implementation and management in developing countries.
