Abstract:
Through a new class format available at the Georgia Institute of Technology, undergraduate students from all colleges had access to a five-week long course on Deep Sea Exploration for the first time.

We learned about challenges, opportunities and threats in the mostly unexplored world that occupies 95% of our planet’s living space. We dug into physical, biological and chemical discoveries, policy, science and methodological challenges, as well as latest research areas, tools and technologies that are helping us exploring this frontier.

Using narratives from speakers around the world and multi-media experiences, students translated in art that can be easily disseminated in k-5 school settings their new knowledge.
