ED33E:
Early-Career Scientist Networks and Organizations Posters

Submit an Abstract to this Session

Session ID#: 49615

Session Description:
In recent years many organizations in geosciences have started networks specifically focused towards students and early career scientists. Most of these have an overlapping focus (connecting & empowering the new generation of scientists). This session aims to (1) discuss the goals and roles of ECS networks, (2) share best and worst practices, and (3) discuss how to start your own ECS network. This session includes 2-5min pitches by all presenting authors, followed by a break-out discussion on:

  • Goals of an ECS network/organization
  • How to connect global ECS networks?
  • How to start your own ECS network?
  • How to raise awareness about ECS networks?

[This session is co-organized by the Young Hydrologic Society, Young Earth System Scientists, and the European Geosciences Union]
